The Archbishops’ Council provides the Church of England with a focus for leadership, executive responsibility and a forum for strategic thinking and planning. In consultation with the House of Bishops, the Council oversees the Church’s financial needs and resources and suggests priorities for General Synod approval. The Council manages an investment portfolio, held mostly in company shares and urban and rural property, to financially support the Church of England’s work.
Active Workplace Solutions has used its excellent skills in move management and refurbishment projects to build a strong relationship with the Church of England which has lasted for over a decade. An initial contract in 2000 to relocate 250 staff from multiple sites to Church House has led to managing various moves and the environmental recycling of surplus office furniture – and this is a unique, ongoing commission.
