Juniper Networks is a leading provider of networking and security solutions, dedicated to simplifying network operations and driving superior experiences for end users. With a global presence and over 40 office locations worldwide, it provides industry-leading insights, automation, security and AI capabilities enabling businesses to drive real results.
Active worked closely with Juniper Networks’ architect to bring its vision to life, including full Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing (MEP) modifications. They installed new partitioning, glass frontages and new flooring in carpet and vinyl throughout. Active also installed a large acoustic movable wall system to create multifunctional spaces in one area.
Acoustic raft ceiling and wall panels were added to control the levels of ambient noise that would be present in a space designed for employees to collaborate and move around in, rather than simply sit at a desk. Feature lighting gave the space more personality and a unique flair.
As you may expect with a tech giant such as Juniper, there were very detailed data and audio-visual installations incorporated into the office design. Furthermore, Juniper likes to use app-enabled technologies where possible. Active worked seamlessly with its AV and security suppliers to embed digital innovation into the finished design. One example is the state-of-the-art coffee machine at the heart of the Tea Point, which dispenses a personalised Americano at the touch of a button on an iPad –although employees and visitors are required to put the mug in place first.
Benefits and Results
As part of both Juniper Networks’ and Active’s shared sustainable ethos, furniture was reused from previous office locations, with appropriate and key pieces provided by Active to tie in and create the bold and comfortable look.
The finished project is now being enjoyed by employees across Juniper Networks as a central hub for teams to work, meet and collaborate on the days they are in the office.
